The Countertop Studio

Frequently asked questions

The questions worth answering before a slab is cut.

Which countertop material is best?

There is no universal best surface. The right choice depends on appearance, maintenance expectations, exposure, budget, and the details of the room.

Can I choose my exact natural-stone slab?

Natural stone varies. When slab-specific movement matters, reviewing the actual slab is the clearest way to understand what will appear in the finished counter.

Will my countertop have seams?

That depends on slab dimensions, access, the room layout, sink and cooktop locations, and fabrication constraints. Seam planning should be discussed before production.

What works outdoors in Southwest Florida?

Outdoor surfaces must be selected for UV exposure, heat, moisture, and the exact installation. Porcelain and appropriate natural stones may be options; indoor quartz should not be assumed suitable outdoors.

When should countertops be measured?

Final field measurement generally happens after supporting cabinets are installed, level, secured, and ready for accurate templating.

Do you publish prices online?

Countertop pricing depends on material, slab yield, edge details, cutouts, access, and installation scope. A project-specific conversation is more accurate than a generic square-foot number.
